If you're looking for recall information, at least on products in the United States, Recalls.gov is the place to find the information. No less than six federal agencies are cooperating in bringing this data base together. You can look for your product in seven broad categories: Consumer Products, Motor Vehicles, Boats, Food, Medicine, Cosmetics and Environmental Products.
